It's been so long since I've seen the movies, I don't even remember where that scene is from. 101 was the room number of Neo's apartment--where the first movie begins and ends, right? So if you remind me which scene that picture is taken from, I might be able to make a connection.

Ahhh, this will help:

TRINITY He's going into arrest!
APOC Lock! I got him! *The numbers stop changing and freeze to [...]101*
MORPHEUS Now, Tank, now!

So.. both Neo's appartments (the virtual one = in the Matrix & the real one = his real world pod) are marked with "101".

:P

Ah, the last three numbers from "0274526101" are "101". Good catch! I wonder what the full number means, or if there's any meaning to the first part of the number--0274526. Any thoughts?

Depends on whether they wanted the story to be viewed as a whole or people to look at a bunch of still frames for significance.

This intersects in an interesting way with this quote from another thread, I think:

And then there's this old thread: http://www.matrix-explained.com/php/about-the-matrix-movies-5333.html&sid=517f6b3826fd0e7044fd0dc2001c3701

I AM IN TUNE WITH THE UNIVERSE. Is that what I should say?

Everything ties in, it's just a matter of how.

What's in a name?

Now that is a can of worms to open!

I think that the Wachowski Brothers were thinking ahead to the time when the Matrix movies would be available on DVD and that truly intelligent people would be spending their time randomly freeze-framing them at sporadic intervals to glean hidden nuggets of truth and that the overall story was simply a cover--an illusory digital experience, if you will--that served to darken the minds of the masses who either did not own DVD players or who felt that freeze-framing these movies was not worth their time.

I am currently in the process of taking the transcript of the movies and scrambling all the letters to see if anything coherent comes to the surface. So far I have found many instances of the words "the", "it" and "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (which obviously references Mary Poppins and the idea that there's a whole other world where the chimneys are--just like the Matrix!).

I am excited to share the rest of my findings with all of you, but only after I've finished my final project of kidnapping the Wachowski Brothers, tying them up and asking them how deep their rabbit holes go.
